Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan suatu peningkatan abnormal tekanan darah dalam pembuluh arteri secara terus menerus lebih dari satu periode. Salah satu penanganan non farmakologis yg digunakan untuk menurunkan tekanan darah tinggi adalah seledri. Seledri (Apium graveolens L) merupakan salah satu dari jenis terapi herbal untuk menangani penyakit hipertensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian air rebusan seledri terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada lansia penderita hipertensi. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan eksperimen semu/quasi eksperimen, dengan rancangan penelitian pretest-postest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 82 Responden dan sampel didapatkan melalui rumus slovin sebanyak 19 responden, tekhnik pengambilan sampel yaitu secara purposive sampling yaitu pengambilan sampel berdasarkan tujuan tertentu yang tidak menyimpang dari kriteria yang sudah ditetapkan oleh peneliti. Hasil analisa data menggunakan uji paired t-test diperoleh hasil p- value 𝛼 0,000 maka p= < 𝛼 0.05 berarti ada pengaruh pemberian air rebusan seledri terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada lansia penderita hipertensi di kelurahan Huta Tonga. Saran penelitian ini diharapkan bagi responden dan masyarakat dapat menjadi wawasan dan bahan pertimbangan untuk memilih pengobatan alternatif yang tepat dan praktis dalam penyembuhan penyakit hipertensi pada lansia.
