ABSTRACT
Based on the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding national health status at the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) target, it is stated that globally around 830 women die every day due to complications during pregnancy and childbirth, with an MMR rate of 216 per 100,000 live births. As many as 99 percent of maternal deaths due to problems in pregnancy, childbirth or childbirth occur in developing countries. The MMR ratio is still considered quite high as targeted to be 70 per 100,000 live births in 2030. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of snakehead fish extract on postpartum maternal perineal injuries. This type of research is analytic by using a quasi-experimental type using one group pretest-posttest. Population The total population that will be used is 15 post partum mothers. The sample in this study was using total sampling, meaning that the entire population was used as the research sample, as many as 15 people. Data analysis was carried out using univariate, bivariate analysis with the Mann-Whitney test. The results of the bivariate analysis using the Mann-Whitney test showed that there was an effect of giving snakehead fish extract on postpartum maternal perineal wound healing (p=0.000). It is recommended that health services, both Puskesmas and Maternity Clinics, are expected to further improve health promotion regarding counseling of snakehead fish extract on perineal wound healing.
