Abstract

ABSTRAK

Plantar fasciitis merupakan gangguan muskuloskeletal yang sering menyebabkan nyeri tumit dan keterbatasan aktivitas fungsional pada pasien. Kondisi ini dapat menurunkan kualitas hidup apabila tidak ditangani secara tepat melalui intervensi fisioterapi yang komprehensif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penatalaksanaan fisioterapi pada plantar fasciitis sinistra di Rumah Sakit Tk.II dr.Soedjono Magelang. Metode penelitian menggunakan studi kasus (case report) dengan enam kali sesi intervensi pada bulan Februari 2026. Pemeriksaan dilakukan menggunakan Numerical Rating Scale (NRS), Manual Muscle Testing (MMT), goneometer, dan Foot and Ankle Disability Index (FADI). Intervensi yang diberikan berupa kombinasi Infrared, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), dan exercise. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan nyeri diam dari skala 4 menjadi 2, nyeri tekan dari 8 menjadi 5, dan nyeri gerak dari 7 menjadi 5. Kekuatan otot ankle meningkat dari nilai 3 menjadi 4, lingkup gerak sendi ankle mengalami peningkatan, serta kemampuan fungsional berdasarkan skor FADI meningkat dari 22,1% menjadi 88,5%. Disarankan pasien menggunakan alas kaki yang nyaman serta rutin melakukan latihan untuk mencegah kekambuhan plantar fasciitis.

ABSTRACT

Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common musculoskeletal disorders causing heel pain and functional activity limitations in patients. This condition may reduce quality of life if not treated properly through comprehensive physiotherapy interventions. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of physiotherapy management in patients with left plantar fasciitis at Tk. II dr. Soedjono Hospital, Magelang. The research method used a case report design with six intervention sessions conducted in February 2026. Assessments were performed using the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS), Manual Muscle Testing (MMT), goniometer, and Foot and Ankle Disability Index (FADI). The interventions consisted of a combination of Infrared therapy, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), and exercise. The results showed a decrease in resting pain from scale 4 to 2, tenderness pain from 8 to 5, and movement pain from 7 to 5. Ankle muscle strength increased from grade 3 to 4, ankle range of motion improved, and functional ability based on the FADI score increased from 22.1% to 88.5%. It is recommended that patients use comfortable footwear and routinely perform exercises to prevent recurrence of plantar fasciitis.
