Abstract

Obesitas merupakan masalah kesehatan kronis akibat penumpukan lemak berlebih yang dapat memicu berbagai komplikasi serius jika tidak ditangani dengan tepat. Asuhan akupunktur menawarkan pendekatan alternatif yang aman dan efektif dalam menurunkan berat badan melalui regulasi metabolisme dan penguatan fungsi organ. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh asuhan akupunktur pada kasus obesitas di Klinik Nature Be Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kualitatif studi kasus pada satu partisipan perempuan berusia 43 tahun dengan diagnosis sindrom Defisiensi Qi Limpa. Terapi dilakukan sebanyak enam kali sesi menggunakan jarum filiform pada titik utama BL-20, BL-21, ST-36, CV-6, CV-4, dan SP-6. Data dikumpulkan melalui empat cara pemeriksaan (Wang, Wen, Wen, Qie) dan diuji keabsahannya menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan berat badan dari 95 kg menjadi 78 kg serta penyusutan lingkar perut dari 128 cm menjadi 97 cm. Kondisi lidah membaik menjadi merah muda normal tanpa tapak gigi, yang menandakan pulihnya fungsi transformasi dan transportasi Limpa dalam mengelola cairan serta lemak tubuh. Peneliti selanjutnya disarankan melakukan penelitian dengan lingkup lebih luas atau menggunakan metode kontrol untuk menguji efektivitas akupunktur pada kasus obesitas secara lebih mendalam.
