One of the main obstetric problems that continues to have a substantial impact on maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality is premature rupture of membranes (PROM). The purpose of this study was to determine the variables linked to PROM in Banda Aceh moms giving delivery. At Banda Aceh General Hospital, 100 respondents were chosen by purposive sampling and given a descriptive-analytic cross-sectional design. Structured interviews and evaluations of medical records were used to gather data, which was then analyzed using the Chi-Square test at a significance threshold of p < 0.05. The findings showed that the occurrence of PROM was significantly correlated with maternal age (p=0.032), parity (p=0.021), pregnancy interval (p=0.015), history of reproductive tract infection (p=0.008), and nutritional status (p=0.041). These findings demonstrate that sociodemographic and clinical factors play essential roles in the development of PROM. Preventive efforts through early risk screening, improvement of antenatal care quality, and maternal education regarding nutritional adequacy and infection prevention are highly recommended.
