Abstract

Penggunaan ruang laboratorium mengharuskan setiap siswa untuk berhadapan langsung dengan banyaknya peralatan yang berpotensi memiliki bahaya. Maka, penerapan Kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja (K3) tentunya menjadi faktor penting dalam pelaksanaan setiap kegiatan belajar (praktik) yang perlu diperhatikan, karena terjadinya kecelakaan dalam kegiatan praktik karena unsur penerapan K3 yang berlaku dan dijalankan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran penerapan Kesehatan dan keselamaptan kerja (K3) di ruang laboratorium tata busana SMK Negeri 3 Padangsidimpuan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik analisis data deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk menggambrakan standar Kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja (K3) di ruang laboratorium tata busana. Dari hasil penelitian  menunjukkan bahwa penerapan K3 memerlukan banyak  perhatian dan perbaikan sesuai dengan standar yang telah diatur dalam UU nomor 1 tahun 1970, Peraturan Menteri Ketenagakerjaan (Permenaker) RI No. 5 Tahun 2018 tentang K3 Lingkungan Kerja dan juga  peraturan Menteri Pendidikan RI no 40 tahun 2008 tentang sarana dan prasarana sekolah menengah kejuruan. Dalam penerapan Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja (K3) pada lingkungan SMK Negeri 3 Padangsidimpuan, sudah diusahakan sebaik mungkin untuk dapat memenuhi standar dan peraturan yg berlaku. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang ditemukan seperti faktor ekonomi dan pemahaman. Pada   faktor ekonomi, terbatasnya anggaran yang untuk pengalokasian khusus K3, sehingga saat ini masih di khususkan pada pengeluaran keperluan sekolah lainnya seperti pengadaan mesin jahit dan perlengakapan praktik pendukung lainnya. Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah untuk mengupayakan agar kelak penerapan K3 dapat lebih maksimal sesuai dengan standar yang berlaku. Dengan menganggarkan dana pengelolaan ruang praktik dan juga pemahaman pengguna laboratorium tentang pentingnya penerapan K3 dalam kegiatan pembelajaran guna menjaga diri dari kecelakaan kerja.
