Abstract

Latar belakang: Luka kronik merupakan suatu masalah yang sulit penanganannya. Perawatan luka dengan konsep moisture balance merupakan pendekatan yang terbaik untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Madu sejak zaman dahulu telah digunakan sebagai pengobatan termasuk untuk luka karena memliki kandungan yang baik untuk penyembuhan luka dan juga dapat mengoptimalkan moisture balance.  Tujuan: Untuk mengidentifikasi penelitian mengenai peran madu sebagai agen debridement pada luka kaki diabetik Metodologi: Metode pencarian pada 3 database elektronik yaitu Medline, Proquest dan CINAHL. Kriteria inklusi berupa jurnal merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, tahun publikasi diatas tahun 2003 dan jurnal berkaitan dengan madu sebagai agen debridement. Hasil: Madu dapat memicu terjadinya autolisis baik secara parsial ataupun total. Waktu minimal yang dibutuhkan untuk terjadinya autolisis ini adalah 6 hingga 7 hari. Adapun rata-rata terjadinya autolisis total adalah 31, 7 hari. Pada jaringan nekrotik tingkat terlepasnya jaringan nekrotik 87 % sedangkan pada jaringan slough tingkat terlepasnya mencapai 90 %. Kesimpulan: Madu merupakan agen autolytic debridement yang baik pada luka nekrotik baik dengan dasar luka kuning (slough) maupun hitam (eskar).
