PENGALAMAN CAREGIVER PADA PASIEN STROKE: A QUALITATIVE SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

Abstract

Latar belakang: Kecacatan akibat stroke tidak hanya berdampak bagi pasien stroke, akan tetapi juga berdampak bagi anggota keluarga yang akan menjadi caregiver. Perhatian pada caregiver ini penting karena keberhasilan pengobatan dan perawatan pasien stroke tidak lepas dari bantuan dan dukungan yang diberikan.  Tujuan: untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang pengalaman caregiver dalam merawat pasien stroke sehingga dapat diberikan evidence based care untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien stroke dan caregiver.  Metode: Review sistematik ini menggunakan pencarian melalui database elektronik antara lain: ProQuest, CINAHL, SAGEPUB dan Google yang dipublikasikan antara tahun 2000-2013. Dan hasil akhir mengidentifikasi 60 jurnal penelitian yang terkait. Hasil: Dari 60 jurnal penelitian yang didapat hanya 8 jurnal penelitian yang termasuk dalam kriteria inklusi. Hasil dari review sistematik ini didapatkan tema bahwa caregiving adalah kewajiban, keluhan fisik, dampak psikologis dan kebutuhan caregiver. Caregiver menderita masalah fisik seperti kelelahan, keletihan, pusing, masalah tidur, nyeri, dan kelemahan. Ketakutan, cemas, dan ketidakpastian mempengaruhi status emosi caregiver. Pada umumnya, caregiver merasa terabaikan, mereka membutuhkan informasi terkait penyakit pasien, cara merawat pasien stroke, dan sumbersumber komunitas pelayanan kesehatan. Kesimpulan: Manajemen untuk pasien stroke di rumah tergantung pada caregiver yang sehat, dipersiapkan dengan baik dan terlatih. Perawat memiliki peran penting dalam mendengarkan keluhan caregiver, kebutuhan, merespon secara positif dan mendukung mereka sepanjang lintasan caregiving mereka.
